Cremation is the process in which a body is reduced to its basic elements in a short period of time using intense heat and evaporation in preparation for final placement and memorialization. It is important for you to consider your religious and moral beliefs, as there is not a blanket answer for everyone. Some consideration are as follows:
Can I afford a casket burial? Funeral services with caskets typically cost up to $12,000 while cremation services with an urn can run for as little as $750 - $1500.
Who would have possession of my remains when I die? (You should have this decided and declarated within your Last Will and Testament.)

What size urn do I need?
A:
This consist of two parts - Volume and Dimensions:

Volume is how much the urn will hold. You will need 1 cubic inch per 1 pound of body weight. For example, a 170 pound person will need a 170 cubic inch urn or larger. This calculation applies to pets as well.

Companion Urns or Double Inurment Urns. Companion urns are designed to hold the remains of up to two adult individuals, and are usually chosen before death of the couple so they can remain close. The volume for these urns is typically double of an individual urn (up to 500 cubic inches.)

Dimensions of the urn (Height,Width, and Length. This is very
important when considering placing your urn in a niche or columbarium, because you have to know the exact space available for final placement. We typically create Urns that are exactly what you need - so it's important that you know what you need before you order.

How long will it take to get my urn once I place an order?
A:
The urns usually ship within 48 hours and then you have delivery time
depending on what method shipment method you select. UPS Standard Ground =
1-7 days depending on location days; UPS 2-day Air, UPS Overnight Air, and UPS Overnight Air
for Saturday Delivery.

What is a crematory?
A:
The crematory is the location where the cremation process takes place.

What is a cremator?
A:
The cremator is a specially designed machine with a cremation compartment called a retort. Cremators operate between 800° Celsius to 1000° Celsius and typically will take on average of 2 to 2-1/2 hours to complete the process.

What is a cremation container?
A:
The cremation container is a combustible case that a body is placed in during the cremation process. This container is placed inside of the cremator retort and helps allow for handling of the body. Typically containers are made from wood or other combustible materials.

How does cremation work?
A:
Cremation works by placing a body inside of a cremation container. The container is then placed inside of the cremator retort and heated to 800° - 1000° Celsius for approximately 2 to 2-1/2 hours. After heating, the remains are allowed to cool and then transferred to machine called a cremulator which pulverizes the remains into a consistent powder.

What are cremains?
A:
Cremains are the remaining ash from the cremation process. Typically, cremains are placed into a cremation urn, scattered in an ocean or lake, or used in another unique memorial service. The average human will produce around 200 cubic inches of ashes, or approximately 1 cubic inch of ash for every pound.
